Ok, I was able to successfully label all the tapes on the Overland drive
connected to the Solaris9 server, but on the CentOS 3 server the
following keeps occurring.

The defined Storage resources are:
1: bs0 Archive
2: bs0 Overland
3: CrystalX0 Overland
Select Storage resource (1-3): 2
Enter new Volume name: bs0_p1v9
Enter slot (0 for none): 9
Defined Pools:
1: Default Pool

4: bs0 Pool 1
Select the Pool (1-4): 4

code 1.
3304 Issuing autochanger "load slot 9, drive 0" command.

1.
Label command failed for Volume bs0_p1v9.
Do not forget to mount the drive!!!

Notice that the command that it errored on was not the one it issued.
