Hi,
I'm very new to Bacula (and this list), but even so, I would appreciate some assistance. :)
Here's some background information first:
- The Bacula version at hand is 1.36.2 (same with the server and the client machines)
- The server is running Debian (if that information is needed)
- The client is running Windows 2000 Server
The Problem:
Backup of a directory (just for test purposes) seems to go well, the output is something like this:
*** 28-Apr 14:42 <server>-dir: Bacula 1.36.2 (28Feb05): 28-Apr-2005 14:42:39 JobId: 16 Job: 2005-04-28_14.41.15 Backup Level: Full Client: <client>-fd FileSet: "<Client>" 2005-04-28 10:31:32 Pool: "Default" Storage: "File" Start time: 28-Apr-2005 14:41:17 End time: 28-Apr-2005 14:42:39 FD Files Written: 1,254 SD Files Written: 1,254 FD Bytes Written: 8,001,576 SD Bytes Written: 8,189,549 Rate: 97.6 KB/s Software Compression: None Volume name(s): <client>_05-04-28 Volume Session Id: 13 Volume Session Time: 1114591635 Last Volume Bytes: 8,240,010 Non-fatal FD errors: 0 SD Errors: 0 FD termination status: OK SD termination status: OK Termination: Backup OK ***
But when trying to restore files to a different location (on the same client machine), following thing happens.
***
<client>-fd: -rwxrwxrwx 1 0 0 3490 2005-04-26 12:02:08 /tmp/bacula-restores/D//testi/file.gif

***
The error above is repeated large number of times... And at the end, summary shows something like this:
***
<client>-fd: drwxrwxrwx 1 0 0 0 2005-04-26 12:00:50 /tmp/bacula-restores/D//testi/
28-Apr 14:46 <server>-dir: RestoreFiles.2005-04-28_14.46.13 Error: Bacula 1.36.2 (28Feb05): 28-Apr-2005 14:46:30

So the number of files seems to be quite accurate, but the amount of bytes is completely different from the "bacup set". In this example I tried to restore to the bacula-server (Linux), which might explain something. But the exactly same thing happens when restoring to the original client-computer. I have spent this day searching the list archives for something similar, but I haven't found anything quite like this.. So if anyone could just point me to a right direction, I would be very grateful :) (In the examples, I have replaced the names of server and client with <text> -tags... so that is not the problem, I don't use that kind of characters normally ;D )
Oh yes, and sorry for the terribly long posting, but that was the only way I know to describe this problem...
