Hello,

I have installed bacula on a SuSE Enterprise Server v. 9.0 with an internal
Ecrix VXA1 and a RakPak, with two VXA1 drives attached externally. I have not
yet tried to run a backup, but am still editing the configuration files. In
particular, the bacula-sd.conf file needs some attention.

There is a Media Type line, but I am unsure what to put there. Will bacula
accept 'VXA1' as a valid media type?

Bacula will accept (almost) anything you put there. Just make sure there is a distinction between your differen media types, and remember that a device only accepts one media type (at the moment).

So, if you've got VXA1 and -2 tapes and drives, you can't set up the VXA2 drive to accept both types of tapes and the -1 drive to only accept VXA1 cartridges.

I am sure I will have more questions, but I promise to scour the excellent doc
before I post anything here.
