Hello, I have a suggestion concerning the field "Rate" in the backup reports: As far as I can consider, the rate is calculated by deviding the amount of data written to tape by the time the whole job took. I think this correct, but another value would be more interesting for me: The amount of data written to tape devided by the time it took to write this data to tape. So to say the "net-writespeed".
Consider the case of data spooling. There could (should) be the different rates: Spool-Rate := amount of data spooled / time it took to spool Write-Rate := amount of data written / time it to to write Allover-Rate:= amount of data written / time the job took This gave possibility to the admin to concisely judge the performance of a backup job (in it's different phases). I think this would be cool, what do you think?
