Hi,
I am quite new to bacula and try to use it on NetBSD with an ADIC
Autochanger (DLT).
With NetBSD, I can use chio to talk to the autochanger - the
DLT-Drive can be accessed via /dev/nst0, the changer with /dev/ch0,
no problem, chio and "mt" can work with it.
I configured bacula-sd.conf so that the Archive Device is /dev/nst0:
(excerpt from bacula-sd.conf)
Device {
Name = DLT7000
Description = "DLT-Library"
Media Type = DLT7000
Archive Device = /dev/nst0
Changer Device = /dev/ch0
Changer Command = "/usr/local/bin/chio-bacula %c %o %S %a"
AutoChanger = yes
LabelMedia = no
AutomaticMount = no
AlwaysOpen = Yes
Random Access = no
MaximumChangerWait = 280
Spool Directory = /var/bacula/spool
Maximum Spool Size = 1073741824 # 1GB
Maximum File Size = 1073741824 # 1GB
}
[..]
(excerpt from bacula-dir.conf)
Storage {
Name = DLT7000
Address = angua
SDPort = 9103
Device = DLT7000
Media Type = DLT7000
Autochanger = yes
}
So, Storage and Devices are defined. I can even do a
"status storage=DLT7000" within bconsole. But the output of that
command is missing the Device status-Line.
Unfortunately, I can't get any nice debug-output; nothing in the
logfiles, nothing when I start bconsole -d99 (or similar).
When I do a "run" in bconsole, I get the following messages:
[..]
16-Jun-2005 09:28 angua-sd: Client1.2005-06-16_09.28.17 Fatal error:
Device "DLT7000" with MediaType "DLT7000" requested by Dir not
found in SD Device resources.
16-Jun-2005 09:28 angua-dir: Client1.2005-06-16_09.28.17 Fatal error:
Storage daemon didn't accept Device "DLT7000" because:
3914 Device "DLT7000" not in SD Device resources.
[..]
So, I am apparently missing something in the logfiles, but I can not
find what. Can someone please enlighten me?
Ciao, Hanno
