Hi,

i,
I'm installing bacula on a set of machines, and i have the next trouble:
- When I want to backup a volume from a Windows Machine (FD) to a Linux
Machine (DIR), the Director replys with the next message:
28-Jun 09:09 alfa-dir: x0riguer.2005-06-28_09.09.34 Fatal error: Unable
to authenticate with File daemon. Possible causes:
Passwords or names not the same or
Maximum Concurrent Jobs exceeded on the FD or
FD networking messed up (restart daemon).
Please see
http://www.bacula.org/html-manual/faq.html#AuthorizationErrors for help.
...
1- What's happening? Why is Bacula reporting me Authentication error?
Because it can't connect to the FD on the client machine.
There might be several reasons, which should be explained in the manual
(follow the URL given with the message).
2- How can I change FD Password?
Just like everything you change in baculas setup: Modify the
configuration file, and restart the daemon. The latter is easiest done
through windows' control panel, should be called something like
"Services". I haven't got an english version here to give detailed
directions.
Thanks
