Hi,

What is the proper way to prepare a tape for writing with bacula? I
have always had to use the mt format command (which takes hours with my
DLT drives). There was a post here yesterday where someone had said an
weof was all you needed. I apologize for not having the reference at
hand but , I just attempted to rewind a tape, mt weof'd it and labeled
it. All three steps completed ok.

Bacula then attempted lasts nights jobs which failed because of no
appendable volumes, without success.

Please see the erros:

One thing I would like to point out is these tapes are not brand new but
have been used with veritas backupexec and contain previously written
data. They work fine in an windows environment. Again, if I erase the
whole tape with mt they work fine.
