   Hi people.

I want to test one backup server with bacula, but i dont see this
tape drive on the bacula supported drivers and unsupported. But maybe
someone has no problem working with this tape:

   Seagate STD224000N

Today, that's Certance ;-)

DDS3 drive. SCSI interface.
DDS tends to break, but I use it myself... you should know what you do to your data. And what you can spend.

Apart from this - I see nothing that implies that you can't use that drive with bacula.

I want to run on Freebsd or Linux and want to know if some has this
tape drive working with bacula and wich version of both OS and bacula.
I want to backup some win2k3 server and one Linux box running samba.

Any bacula version I know, and probably many older ones, too. No problem from that side. OS is more fun... in short, with FreeBSD you need to know a little more about how to set up your OS to work with bacula, but nothing impossible. The bacula manual gives more information. Any current linux distribution should work out of the box (when it recognizes the drive), apart from that - bacula manual.

Clients? No problem.

I assume you plan to evaluate bacula. In that case, you should estimate the data volume you need to manage before you decide which tape technology to try. But, to my knowledge, you can use about everything you can connect to your backup server.

Which reminds me... has anybody ever tried using floppy disks with bacula?

Any information i will apreciate a lot good one or bad one, thanks
all of you for your time.

Start with reading the first chapters of the manual. You need to know lots of stuff from it anyway.
