Hello,

I have files with names in different languages (different charsets). I
am trying to back them up from my windows 2000 client.
I changed the encoding on my postgresql database to accept those
characters but bacula is not backing them up.
I am getting the following error:
11-Sep 12:12 sim: Could not stat e:/my documents/???.doc: ERR=The
filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is
incorrect.
The ???.doc is a file with a different charset then ascii.

Which bacula versions do you run, both director and FD?

As far as I know, sometime not too long ago that behaviour was fixed, and seeing the current state of the 1.37 version I'd suggest switching to the latest development version.

After usual reading, thinking, trying and verifying,of course.
