Hi folks,

I must replace an Arcserver Enterprise 6.5 (wich is very old an now faillig a
lot) with some other backup service.

I have found that Bacula may be suited for our needs, but I have not found out
how to do it by reading Kern Sibbald Bacula manual.

We have a single Sony SDX-D700C AIT3 tape drive (100 Gb capacity native mode,
260 Gb using compression 2.6:1) to perform nightly saves of seven different
clients (3 Win NT and 4 Linux) in a weekly rotation schedule.

We backup only selected directories on each client. Every friday we make a full
backup of such directories on the seven clients, which fit on a single AIT3 tape
media. From monday to thursday we perform differential backup.

As for now I believe I would have to:
1. for each client set up a bacula-fd agent
2. for each client have a specific file set
3. on the Bacula server, which will hold the AIT3 tape drive, have a bacula-sd
agent.

Would anyone provide me a schema for a bacula-dir.conf for the Bacula server
that would do the trick, i.e, backup all seven clients to a single tape
according to the schedule?

Thanks in advance,
