Hello, in a previous mail I asked about 'make' in AIX. It was suggested to use gnu-make. Thanks, that tip got me a bit further.
I am new to AIX, so I might understand things wrong here... First I tried to configure using platform/aix/Makefile.in , but then it complains about 'no rules' when I tried to make anything. So I used the standard Makefile.in to run configure on. Then I defined MAKE=/usr/bin/gmake ran '$MAKE' then I got a couple of errors, which seem to solve when I run '$MAKE -bnoquiet' This only seems to produce bacula-fd, I can't find bacula-dir nor bacula-sd Am I doing something wrong here, or does the AIX version of bacula only provide a client-only? (No, I did not use the --client-only option while configuring) I hope very much to get bacula running on AIX. I ran bacula on Linux very succesfully on Linux for years. I am being put under pressure to buy Tivoli: I have seen the demo and I can't get used to it!! (When someone likes to look into the lengthy log-files, I will send it to him. When I succeed to build a complete AIX version I volunteer to post a summary) Thanks, -- Daniƫl Kropveld Medial Automatisering tel: 023 890 8688 gsm: 0644 - 112344 [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Tame your development challenges with Apache's Geronimo App Server.
