Hello,

I've copied the Bacula user's list because this questions comes up from time
to time.

Basically, Bacula is managed centrally, which means that the Director
initiates the backup and restore jobs. If you wish to start a job for a
Client from the client machine, you can do this using bconsole or wx-console
programs. On most systems, bconsole can easily be scripted to do anything
you want with a single click on an icon or invocation of a .bat file.

If you do so, you should consider using restricted consoles (using Bacula ACL
access control lists) so that the Client is restricted to work with his
machine only.
