Oops. Please ignore the bulk of my previous email, I thought you were 
complaining about a different problem and did not re-read carefully enough 
the context.

Yes, you should file a bug report. That ensures that it will not be forgotten 
and will be fixed.  However, since I already have a test case, there is no 
need for you to do anything with regress.
