Yeah, thats the kind of thing I was thinking maybe my OS setup would
effect.  After seeing your comments about backspc working I tried
Ctrl-bkspc and find that does behave like one would expect from just
backspc. 

Also, you didn't mention globbing ... to me that would be the single
best improvement.  It would enhance navigation as sort of completion
too.  But then maybe I'm missing other better ways to cruise through a
backup selecting files manually.

Also I was left wondering how to find various versions of a file
easily.  For example: If one had several incremental backups and the
same file had changes each time, how does one quickly and easily
navigate to a particular version?  Or maybe compare two versions
quickly to see which you want restored?
