First, if you upgrade a version or more of MySQL, you will either need to rebuild Bacula from source or obtain an rpm built on the same version of MySQL to which you are migrating. When I upgraded from 3.23 to 4.1, I saved my database files, but I don't remember dumping and reloading them. Just the same, that would be a good idea because if nothing else, it will serve to compact your database. In going from 3.23 to 4.1, there was no need to use 4.0. To the best of my knowledge Bacula has not yet been tested on 5.0, so you might find some changes that create problems (MySQL has the tendancy similar to Microsoft to modify things such as the default character set encoding when upgrading version ...) > > Thanks > -- > Maxx > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
