Sure. For regular backups, just use an admin job that runs as the last
job (highest priority value) in a sequence of backups. Call a script
which uses ftp to moce all the files to the remote server and delete the
local copies afterwards. Using a more-or-less clever naming scheme,
finding the right files should not be too difficult. And, of course,
find with the file age options can also help a lot.
Restores would require manual intervention, though: You'd have to first
start the job and then, while the jobs waits to be run, you'd have to
download the necessary files yourself.
Or, the technically correct version of backup to ftp: Modify dvd-handler
to handle such situations. Could be done, I'm sure.
