The output you are showing is very strange. I've never seen anything like it, 
so at the moment I have no idea what is going on.  I have not yet tested 
Bacula on FreeBSD 6.0p2, so there is a possibility that there is some problem 
with the tape driver or something like that, but it seems pretty unlikely 
because normally, any tape drive problem will cause Bacula to complain about 
errors (CRC or other) or simply crash.  If you have a 64 bit system, then it 
is likely a GCC bug as we have seen a good number of problems with GCC 4.x 
where it generates bad code for 64 bit systems.

I guess, my recommendataion would be to start from scratch, backup a single 
directory or two and see if you can reproduce the problem, maybe if it is 
simplified you can get to the bottom of what is going on.  

You might also try downloading the regress directory from the cvs and run the 
regression scripts.  If they do not run, then you clearly have a problem 
somewhere on your system as they do run correctly on FreeBSD 5.4-STABLE on a 
32 bit CPU.
