Hi,

I'm still tweaking my bacula config - haven't had much time the last week.

I decided to use 3 pools for my 2 server and only perform a full backup
for each server on the weekend (daily incr. backups to disk are done with
another tool).

1. pool MKS -> 3 tapes -> server1 (weekly full, every sun, full backup = 1
tape)

2. pool BangArchive -> 3 tapes -> server2 (archive, every 1st sat, full
backup = 3 tapes)
3. pool Bang -> 6 tapes -> server2 (weekly full, 2nd-5th sat, full backup
= 3 tapes)

I backup the catalog after every full backup to the appropriate pool/tape.
The 6 tapes of the 'Bang' pool will be sufficient for 2 full backups (2x 3
tapes) including the catalog.

How can I achieve that only one weekly backup (pool Bang) and the proper
catalog file will be backed up to 3 tapes and the next weekly/catalog
backup uses the other 3 tapes? Thus no weekly backup would be appended to
a tape with a previous backup.

Well, I could define 2 seperate pools for this (2nd and 4th / 3rd and 5th,
1st is the achive job), but I think there must be a more elegant way.

Would "Maximum Volume Jobs = 2" do what I want?

I hope someone may understand what I mean ;)

RAlf
