I backup a Windows XP Home machine here. I time the job for sometime between just after school and just before dinner. That's the most common time for the kids to be on the computer and it means that it can be backed up easily. They've never mentioned anything about things going slow. Mind you, that's not laptop, but I'm not sure that bacula-fd should slow things down significantly. What OS is that laptop running? RAM? Speed? Have other users made similar comments? I regularly backup my own Windows XP computer while using it. I've never noticed a performance issue. Mind you, it's not a laptop either. -- Dan Langille : Software Developer looking for work my resume: http://www.freebsddiary.org/dan_langille.php ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
