I give up. I believe I have tried all possible combinations to have
bacula-fd.exe restore files correctly on windows 2000.
My setup is linux FC3 with bacula 1.38.5 and bacula-fd.exe 1.38.4 on Windows
2000 and I invariably get this error message:
19-Mar 10:21 epowork-fd: RestoreFiles.2006-03-19_10.12.59 Error:
c:\cygwin\home\kern\bacula\k\src\win32\findlib\../../findlib/create_file.c:241
Could not create /tmp/bacula-restores/D/\Images\Poloskade/DSC_0066.JPG: ERR=The
system cannot find the path specified.
I have had bacula-fd.exe run as SYSTEM, Administrator, normal user with admin
properties and as backup operator. Same error message in all cases. As I
interpret the message, bacula-fd.exe cannot create/find subpath
\Images\Poloskade. Is it really so that I have to create manually all paths to
be restored? This would sound strange since c:\tmp\bacula-restores\D\ was
created first time by bacula. And it would be unbearable if I was to restore a
large part of the windows disk.
I believe others have succeeded in performing such restores and since I have
exhausted all thinkable possibilities I have given up trying to find a solution
myself. Please help. I am probably doing something wrong or perhaps missing
dependent programs.
Thanks in advance.
