I get the error below for every OS that I try to
restore.  I have read the manual.  I saw the same
question asked on this list several times still no
answer.  I am not sure what else to do. I am using the
configuration that bacula came with.  I can backup
just fine.  I can see the files in the catalog and I
think they are on the disk because the volume grows by
several gigabytes.  I am using Debian sarge 3.1 and I
installed from source.  The backup is being stored
mainly on usb external disks, but I do have a DDS-4
tape as well.  I added compression to the
configuration.
