Please download the following file:

  www.sibbald.com/download/winbacula-1.38.8.exe

there is also a winbacula-1.38.8.exe.sig if you want to check the signature.

Then install that binary on the system where you would like to do the restore. 
Please be aware of the following things:

1. I implemented code to strip backslashes from *all* filenames being 
restored.  

2. I have not tested the code, so it may blow up or do the wrong thing.

3. I am not convinced that this code is something that you want to leave in a 
production system as I am not 100% sure of all the subtle interactions that 
stripping backslashes could have.
