To be more spesific, things to do:

- make sure the machine names mentioned in confs are sensible for the
installation in question (by default they just are similar to 'scott')

- edit the password strings so the ones in different conf files match with
each other, there are several password pairs -for example, director's conf
must have a password for accessing file daemon and that password must match
the one spesified in file daemon's conf etc...

- edit the mail addresses given in director's conf so the director can email
you


This should be more than enough to have the system running for test purposes
(it uses a disk volume as a bacup media).
Then, if you have a tape drive etc, they need be configured in a proper way
too, and the schedules when to make backups etc...
