Here comes the "client run after failed job" lacking feature again.

Yes. I notice that a "Run after Failed Job" option exists - it should be possible to implement the client variant, too...

I'm backing up FreeBSD snapshots and there have been cases where the server runs out of disk space after a failed job because of the snapshot that was not deleted. So I've been thinking to create some pseudo-job that would run after all the jobs (just like the job backing up catalog) and delete possibly existing snapshots with "client run before job" script.

Interesting workaround, I never thought about that option.

I have not done it, but my assumption is that it's trivial. I have done
it manually with other backup software. I would ClientRunBeforeJob to
create the snapshot to a location, backup the location, and
ClientRunAfterJob to destroy it.

Has anyone used LVM/EVMS snapshots to get a stable image to backup?

If so, how do you do it?
