This works for me on my RHELAS4 box:

gnome-console -c /etc/bacula/gnome-console.conf

I created a Gnome icon for it and it works fine.
Hmm, in order to let a non-techie use it, you'll have
to either

1) redirect your X display, or
2) use XDMCP.

It's a bit of trouble. I assume your operator's
computer is runnning some flavor of Windows - you
could simply install the Bacula client for Windows,
because it includes wx-console. He'll be able to work
from it just like he'd do with gnome-console, but with
a far simpler setup and less security-related worries.
