Even simpler is to unmount the drive in question from bconsole... you 
can keep other jobs running, don't have to restart the SD afterwards,and 
your SD statistics keep going up :-)

Going back to your original message:
You can not have two volumes with an identical name (it would be very 
difficult to decide which one to overwrite, for example :-) but when the 
volume name is unique but not in the catalog you can use the 'add' command.
