You didn't mention the version of the the windows client. However, there _was_ a 260 character limit on path length for windows clients before version 2.0 . If possible, the best route would be to upgrade director, storage-daemon and all clients. The path limit is now 64kB ! I think that you can use windows client v2.0 with director and storage-daemon v1.38 but I'm not certain. You could try searching the list archives to see if Kern or another developer made a definitive statement about that. Hope this helps.
