That *is* interesting.   Because the documentation states:

   http://www.bacula.org/rel-manual/Configuring_Director.html

Spool Attributes = <yes|no>
   The default is set to no, which means that the File attributes are 
sent by the Storage daemon to the Director as they are stored on 
tape.
