Hi list,

I have the following issue:
SYSTEM
Running Debian Etch on a server called "backupmaster"
with Bacula 2.0. I have several Windows servers
running Bacula-fd too. The backupmaster has a schedule
for all servers to backup their data with jobs to a
local disk on the backupmaster server. I use this as a
kind of cache for quick restores. As a last job each
night a job is run to backup this cache to a tape
(singe tapedrive). Such a job consists of a fileset of
2 directories. One with rsynced data of server where
Bacula does not run on. And one directory which
contains a very big file with all Bacula data (it is
kind of Bacula-image-file).
So now I have to do a partial restore of some days
ago.
I performed the following tasks:
- restore of backup job of that day from tape to local
disk cache
- restore of backup job of a certain server (fd)
The later gives problems. When I tell bconsole/restore
to list all volumes available before a certain
date/time: 2007-10-03 04:00:00 it comes up with an
empty list.
I recycle and prune. But to my knowledge only after 6
days so this volume should be available.

What wend wrong or what did I do wrong and how can I
fix this. I am kind of in a hurry (2-3 hrs left to fix
this) or have to move this to monday which makes
things much more critical.

Thanks in advance
Olaf
