Hi Andreas,

I'm using a Tandberg Data internal half-height LTO2 drive with Bacula on a
Linux 2.6, and I'm very satisfied with it (note that I have no point of
comparison, though). I've ran the full suite of 'btape test' and 'btest
fill' tests successfully. I can also mount this drive separately while
Bacula is already running through modprobing the aic7xxx driver for my
Adaptec SCSI 160 HBA, which would be useful with the external version.

One thing I've noted is that the Linux kernel does not seem to like the mt
'retension' command with this tape drive, as mt systematically outputs an
'I/O error message' and the kernel logs a 'Current: sense key: Illegal
Request' line followed by a 'Additional sense: Invalid field in cdb' one
when I try to use this functionality. It's the only downside I've seen, as
I've read more than one document that recommends such practice.

Regards,

LBC
