Almost right - as stated in the first line of the above paragraph, the 
file records are purged. The Job record is set to status "M", IIRC.

This is probably (technically) possible. I would carefully test how 
Bacula behaves on backup, though - I suspect the job and/or file 
selection will get into trouble.
