I know this is (slightly) off topic, but I think there is a good  
chance of someone knowing the answer.

I've just got ahold of a DLT tape changer (ADIC Scalar 218M) and it's  
firmware is out of date.  ADIC (now Quantum) offers two options for  
flashing the device with new firmware: using the SCSI bus, or using a  
serial port.  Of course they ship a dos based app to do this, but I'm  
wondering if there is a tool that will run on FreeBSD (or linux, or  
really anything that keeps me from digging out dos disks) that allows  
flashing firmware to either of these devices.  I realize that the  
serial port method might be proprietary, but doing this sort of  
operation via SCSI should be pretty standard. (right?)
