As Attila says, unless you use ZFS ACLs, you will have no problems. I use ZFS on my Bacula server and on 2 Bacula clients, with no problems. The only time you will have an issue is if you use ZFS's new ACLs. If you only use old-fashioned rwxrwxrwx permissions, it works fine. ** I am not 100% sure about this, but I believe that ZFS files with ACLs ** can still be backed up/restored OK, but although the ACL info will be ** lost, the data will still be correct - I have not tested this (yet).
