I meant are you 100% sure that the executables you compiled with the postgresql support were installed in the same place any previous install you may have done on the same computer. I am worried that possibly an install from rpms may have installed the executables for bacula in a different location than the install that you just did when you compiled from source.
I ask because a few months ago something similar happened to me. When building from source the executable for bacula-dir failed to build while other executables built and installed so it looked like everything was ok. I restarted the services and thought I had the correct executable only to find out a few days later that I had still been using a previous version of bacula that did not contain an update to fix a problem I was having with a two drive autochanger.
