i think it's important to note that the reboots are not a bacula problem :) no matter what a software does, os/hw should not reboot just like that. > > Is there any way of upping the log verbosity somewhere to try and get > some more meaningful information??? did you check all the syslog logfiles ? messages file usually contains slightly more detail. as it seems that you have an hp server, are you using hpasm or hpacucli tools ? if you are using hpacucli for whatever things, try to disable it and see whether problem reappears (i lately have some 'explicit lyrics' about hp raid controllers...). in any case, upgrade hpacucli, hpasm and hdd controller firmware, where appropriate. as suggested, periodically logging system information like ram usage, cpu usage for most hungry processes, temperature etc can help to pinpoint the cause. i'd also suggest taking this to rhel/hp, as the actual reboot problem probably is somewhere there (ah, darn, remembered you said centos... well, try redhat community help as well :) ) > Also, does any of this sound familiar to anyone, is it a known bug for > instance??? > > TIA > > Dan ... -- Rich ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
