Later it is despooling from disk to tape with an average of 67.24
MB/s, wich I think is also ok for LTO-4. I get between 75 and 80 MB/s.

The overall throughput (spooling + despooling) is 32 MB/s. This is
because of the extra time spend with first spooling the data to disk.

If you have mostly large files you could try backing up the data
directly. I have one server with a very fast raid that can be backed
up dirctly and has the same throughput when writing to tape, as it has
with despooling from disk.
