Adding the indexes themselves only took up to 15 seconds, but for now the database is relatively small at 200 MB for the whole /var/lib/mysql/bacula dir and it's a decent machine (quad core Xeon 2.33 GHz machine with 4 GB of RAM). It remains to be seen whether the added indexing will impact insert/update performance, but I'll take a small performance hit if it means faster restores and sanity checks. The bottleneck here is NAS disk throughput so the number of concurrent jobs is limited. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: SourcForge Community SourceForge wants to tell your story. http://p.sf.net/sfu/sf-spreadtheword _______________________________________________ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users
