Yes, you can use disks and esata, sata, usb, scsi, 1394, FC...

I use regular sata and a 5 in 1 drive bay.

I am now using the vchanger to make swapping easier, volume handling
better and the concurrency setup easier. Since recycling only works
when you have 3 or more volumes per pool.
