I am backing up several hosts to disk based volumes, with a pool for each host and volumes automatically labeled as described in
http://www.bacula.org/5.0.x-manuals/en/main/main/Basic_Volume_Management.html I would have thought that the volume number would increment on a per-pool basis. Instead it seems that there is one global number used across pools. Is that correct or have I botched my config? In the catalog, I see: select mediaid, volumename, poolid, mediatype, mediatypeid from media; mediaid | volumename | poolid | mediatype | mediatypeid ---------+---------------+--------+--------------+------------- 6 | bacula-0006 | 10 | File | 0 4 | furball-0004 | 6 | FileFurball | 0 3 | furball-0003 | 6 | FileFurball | 0 5 | lucky2-0005 | 7 | FileLucky2 | 0 1 | trillian-0001 | 4 | FileTrillian | 0 2 | chibi2-0002 | 5 | FileChibi2 | 0 7 | dokodemo-0007 | 8 | FileDokodemo | 0 10 | furball-0010 | 6 | FileFurball | 0 8 | chibi2-0008 | 5 | FileChibi2 | 0 12 | trillian-0012 | 4 | FileTrillian | 0 11 | lucky2-0011 | 7 | FileLucky2 | 0 9 | dokodemo-0009 | 8 | FileDokodemo | 0 13 | talk2me-0013 | 12 | FileTalk2me | 0 14 | gizmo-0014 | 9 | FileGizmo | 0 15 | enduring-0015 | 11 | FileEnduring | 0 Thanks, Andy ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Planet: dedicated and managed hosting, cloud storage, colocation Stay online with enterprise data centers and the best network in the business Choose flexible plans and management services without long-term contracts Personal 24x7 support from experience hosting pros just a phone call away. http://p.sf.net/sfu/theplanet-com _______________________________________________ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users
