I got the impression he was complaining about the only thing that makes money for this project. Plenty of people write software and open source it and don't ever attempt to monetize it; I'm not personally sure why those people do it, but yes it is very nice. This piece of software I can totally understand going the other way. It was an obviously major undertaking, and it is overkill (essentially) for non-enterprise situations. I personally wish that I could contribute more, but I do help out on the mailing list and I do recommend Bacula when it makes sense to do so. I think most on this list have read Kern's frustrations with aspects of this projects, and along comes someone with the topic "Bacula Project Will Die" and scolds the author of this software, saying that he's frustrated to see the free version being destroyed by the paid for and that it is not the way to get compensation. It's not polite to come to someone's house, accept the kind offer of a free meal, and then to go into the kitchen and start bossing the cook around. Perhaps you are right and perhaps it is a language issue, but honestly I think the person made their point very clear.
