One of the key points, from the survey we did earlier this year with Bacula users, was that most of those who responded would like to hear more about Bacula Systems (www.baculasystems.com). You are flexible in terms of work tasks, creative, and able to put yourself in the customers' shoes. You are dependable, and driven to find great solutions to problems. Required Skills/Experience: You are self-motivated, with a wide range of skills such as: - Basic Bacula knowledge; longer experience deploying, configuring and operating Bacula is a plus - System administration, preferably Linux, Windows or a commercial Unix system - Database knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL - Database knowledge of a commercial RDBMS like Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, SAP or MS Exchange is a plus - English and at least one other language, spoken and written - Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with a variety of people - Previous experience in the support area is a plus. Responsibilities: - Work within the Software Support Team to provide excellent support to our customers - Work closely with software development team to understand new technologies and contribute ideas. - Work closely with the sales organization to provide pre-sales support. - Contribute knowledge and ideas to technical whitepapers and other knowledgebases. This position will allow you to closely work with Bacula Systems customers and the core Bacula developers.
