Do you have an autochanger connected to your Bacula SD and if so does running the status slots storage=<your_storage_name> trigger the error for you on Linux ? If so that at least confirms that the autochanger cmds are a problem and give some direction on where to look. At least for Solaris its a problem with exactly that command and I'm about to test a quick patch so see if I can fix it easily.
