No ignore it, follow the sourceforge link in the topmost "revision history" bulletpoint. Could someone with wiki edit permissions replace this page with the link to http://sourceforge.net/projects/vchanger/ pretty please? > If I write a backup volume to a removable disk, can I subsequently > migrate it (without restore/re-backup) to tape or to Amazon Glacier in > such a way that the director still knows how to recover it? You'll have to migrate it back somehow but aside from that, as long as you don't overwrite the volume it shouldn't care. Cheap sata disks are already cheaper than tape so I'm not sure why you'd migrate to tape rather than just pull the disk out of the dock and stick a new one in. With cloud storage you'd have to fake that somehow. Either way you add your "new" disk to vchanger, have it make a bunch of new volumes on it & you're set. -- Dimitri Maziuk Programmer/sysadmin BioMagResBank, UW-Madison -- http://www.bmrb.wisc.edu
