Hello Bacula-Users, I'm currently setting up an offsite/longterm archive and I want to use Copy Jobs to copy selected Jobs from my standard SD to an offsite SD and to a Pool with a longer retention time. Fwiw, all of my storage is disks and I'm running Bacula 7.4.3.
I did some basic tests and the Copy Jobs work just fine but I need to solve the issue of concurrency as I don't want the Copy Jobs to interfere with my normal Backup Jobs (and vice versa). With normal backups I handle concurrency through multiple Storage Devices but I'm unsure how to accomplish concurrency between Backup Jobs and Copy Jobs that operate on the same Archive Device. My best guess would be to configure copies of my current Storage Device and Pool directives that use the same Archive Device (ie path on disk) and then use the copy in the Pool Directive in the Copy Job. As I use every Volume just once I can't see any major issues with this but it really doesn't seem like the most elegant solution and so I'm looking for opinions and further suggestions on how to run my Copy Jobs independent of the Backup Jobs. I'll gladly provide further information and config if needed ! Thanks, Martin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users
