What about on the NAS?
A little harder to measure, but that NAS only sits there for backups and
I had only that job runnig, so I guess it would have even less load than
the client.
If it is not the NAS, then I would start by examining what the bacula-fd is
doing in the several seconds of "silence" between it and the SD. E.g. use
tools like ktrace and dtrace, or attach gdb to the bacula-fd and look at the
backtraces.
If you find it waiting to the write to the SD then you need to do the same
with the bacula-sd to see what it is doing during this time.
I'll try and see if I can do this when I have the chance (I hoped I
could get some log, but I've used these tools before).
