Hi Eric, thanks for the reply.

I've put BPIPE tests on hold, as I'm working with other priorities.  I
think I've followed the instructions, but the BPIBE plugin is not activated
during the backup job - the few lines generated by the script are simply
ignored and the pg_dump is not even started.  Actually, I've just left all
there, as the lines are ignored anyway - no errors, nothing happens.

I'll try again later in March or April.  In the meantime, running pg_dump
to  /tmp/ files (with the extra lines for the BPIPE) is working and I still
can afford all the extra disk space used.
