Hello Rob, everyone... The above statement from Rob is 100% correct.As a matter of fact, this is the general idea and typical use case... eg: We see people run backup jobs to disk using Pools with low(ish) volume retention periods (for fast, local restores when needed), then they run Copy or Migration jobs to tape or cloud using pools with much longer volume retention periods.
