Hello Phil The email report i get from the director is this. Mail delivery is working fine. You can see from this that 8K was written but I'm trying to determine what the file was. The files expected/restored are i think files that already exist so were not overwritten because of the Replace=Never clause.
In Baculum, there is no tab for files restored as there is in a backup job showing files backed up. I don't usually bother about listing restored files but in the present case, I'm trying to cross check the restore against a secondary snapshot from another source. 21-Jul 17:05 raspberrypi-dir JobId 4520: Start Restore Job Restore.2025-07-21_17.05.13_41 21-Jul 17:05 raspberrypi-dir JobId 4520: Restoring files from JobId(s) 4483 21-Jul 17:05 raspberrypi-dir JobId 4520: Connected to Storage "raspberrypi-backup" at raspberrypi:9103 without encryption 21-Jul 17:05 raspberrypi-dir JobId 4520: Using Device "usb1" to read. 21-Jul 17:05 raspberrypi-dir JobId 4520: Connected to Client "nas219d74" at nas219d74:9102 without encryption 21-Jul 17:05 nas219d74-fd JobId 4520: Connected to Storage at raspberrypi:9103 without encryption 21-Jul 18:59 raspberrypi-dir JobId 4520: Bacula raspberrypi-dir 15.0.2 (21Mar24): Build OS: aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu debian 11.11 JobId: 4520 Job: Restore.2025-07-21_17.05.13_41 Restore Client: "nas219d74" 15.0.2 (21Mar24) arm-openwrt-linux-gnu,debian,10.13 Where: / Replace: Never Start time: 21-Jul-2025 17:05:15 End time: 21-Jul-2025 18:59:42 Elapsed time: 1 hour 54 mins 27 secs Files Expected: 156,152 Files Restored: 156,152 Bytes Restored: 8,196 (8.196 KB) Rate: 0.0 KB/s FD Errors: 0 FD termination status: OK SD termination status: OK Termination: Restore OK 21-Jul 18:59 raspberrypi-dir JobId 4520: Begin pruning Jobs older than 1 month 5 days . 21-Jul 18:59 raspberrypi-dir JobId 4520: No Jobs found to prune. 21-Jul 18:59 raspberrypi-dir JobId 4520: Begin pruning Files. 21-Jul 18:59 raspberrypi-dir JobId 4520: No Files found to prune. 21-Jul 18:59 raspberrypi-dir JobId 4520: End auto prune. My Director message resource is below. I use Postfix set up as a mail relay via Gmail and that is working fine since I'm getting job reports OK. Messages { Name = "Standard" MailCommand = "/usr/sbin/bsmtp -h localhost -f \"(Bacula) %r\" -s \"Bacula: %t %e of Client:%c Fileset:%f %l\" %r" OperatorCommand = "/usr/sbin/bsmtp -h localhost -f -s \"Bacula: Intervention needed for Job:%n %j\" %r" Syslog = All, !Skipped Mail = root@localhost = All, !Skipped Append = /var/log/bacula/bacula.log = All, !Skipped Console = All, !Skipped Operator = root@localhost = Mount Catalog = All, !Skipped } and the FD message resource is Messages { Name = Standard director = raspberrypi-dir = all, !skipped, !restored, !verified, !saved } Could it be that the !restored directive is suppressing the list?
