How about using a ClientRunBeforeJob script that will update a small file just so there’s SOMETHING that changed even if it’s just a text file with the days date?

This includes the 3 files from the previous FULL - which are the only files in the job. So, the question is why does it not include the file count from your previous FULL when making this calculation. The code in question is in vbackup.c - the create_bootstrap_file method which calls a method in bsr.c which is where the "No files found to read. No bootstrap file written" message is being generated. cheers, --tom I'm running into this issue with Virtual Full backups. I think I know what the issue is but am not 100% positive and want to bounce this idea... I have a Full backup, then some number of Incrementals. Every week I run a Virtual full, rolling in all but the most recent 10 Incremental backups. I can find these "tapes" in my Jobs table, but no joining entries in Media, or JobMedia. If I scan through the "tape" on the filesystem, I find backups on the tape, only for jobs which actually wrote files. The end result is that I have a Full backup, which is getting increasingly older, VirtualFulls which fail, so no new Full backup, and once I hit a point where the Full backup hits its prune-date it gets pruned from the file table.
