Hi
Thta is kinda strange, on my win 10 workstation, i get these files from
cmd-window with quiet a lot of info in some of them
Directory: C:\WINDOWS\system32\config

nothing in regback still, but with the "Hide protected system files
..."option unchecked in explorer, i get about 46 files in the config
directory
And none of these files show up on a bacula backup of the config-folder,
just the empty flders tree structure

Hi
Thanks for your reponse, appreiate it, I'll try your suggestion and
see what can be done
When it comes to that config dir, there is a lot more files there,
but they are hidden,
Well, I actuall did check the Regback directory. Not using Explorer
and some settings but just a plain attrib command in a cmd window:
C:\Windows\System32\config>attrib BBI.*
A C:\Windows\System32\config\BBI
A SH C:\Windows\System32\config\BBI.LOG1
A SH C:\Windows\System32\config\BBI.LOG2
C:\Windows\System32\config>cd RegBack
C:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack>attrib
Datei C:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack\*.* nicht gefunden
so I would claim that, on my system, there's really nothing in the
directory I would consider a prime candidate to contain
registry-related backup data.
u need to deactivate the "Hid protected system files .." or some such
option under View->options
I think text user interfaces are much more useful when discussing and
reproducing problems, actually ;-)
But I *do* miss the option to
C:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack>LANG=C attrib
Der Befehl "LANG" ist entweder falsch geschrieben oder
konnte nicht gefunden werden.
on Windows :-)
Cheers,
Arno
Sincerely /Mehrdad
